Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, complete a physical test and written examination, and have the equivalent to a high school diploma.

Ellsworth Correctional Facility

Ellsworth, KS

Ellsworth Correctional Facility (ECF) was originally built as a 96-bed minimum security facility in 1988, receiving the first residents on August 8, 1988.  To meet the population challenges of the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC), ECF built and developed over the years to its present design, providing housing for up to 915 residents between the ECF Central and East Units.

Lansing Correctional Facility

Lansing, KS

Lansing Correctional Facility (LCF) is home to the state’s largest and oldest correctional complex for adult male residents.  A new complex was erected on the Lansing grounds in 2020 to provide incarcerated housing to approximately 2,500 adult male residents. Lansing is home to many educational and vocational partners, offering job and life skills to aide in rehabilitation and growth of the resident population.
