Building Skills for a Successful Future

Career-Driven Training Programs

At Wichita Work Release Facility (WWRF), the focus is on equipping residents with skills that lead to long-term employment. While WWRF does not offer GED programs like the ones available in Winfield, it provides access to specialized career training aimed at securing stable jobs.

Partnering with WSU Tech

Through a collaboration with WSU Tech, residents at WWRF can take advantage of both online and in-person courses. These programs are designed to help residents gain industry-recognized certifications, making them more competitive in the job market.

Certifications in High-Demand Fields

Residents can earn certifications in areas such as CNC Machining, Composites, and Industrial Maintenance. These fields are in high demand and offer opportunities for well-paying jobs in Wichita’s robust industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Focused on Employment

WWRF is committed to ensuring its residents leave with the skills needed for successful reintegration into the workforce. The training programs help them transition smoothly into gainful employment, preparing them for a productive future after their time at the facility.
